The cost for each Message Credit is subject to change, but you will be notified in advance of any change. The cost of $0.22c includes the current 10% GST that is applicable to all Australian purchases.
Each Flashtxt message has a number of key components: the Offer; your Business Name; your Address; your business Contact details; and a reference Code. You can tailor the information within these components but each message is limited to a total of 160 characters.

How it works

Flashtxt is a new concept in location-based marketing. When you want to make an offer we match your message delivery options with a few key details we hold about our mobile users:

  • Their selected postcode area We match this with your Postcode area and check the distance the customer is prepared to travel.
  • Their sex You decide if the offer you are making is better suited to a specific sex.
  • Their date of birth Is the offer only suitable for those over 18 for example.. you might be selling alcohol. Or maybe you just want to catch a birthday.
  • Their areas of interest You select the category most appropriate to your offer.

Then it's up to you to craft your offer. Each Flashtxt message follows a standard format to make creating your offer easy.

That's it. The Flashtxt system will then tell you exactly how many people will receive the message and how much the promotion will cost. You can then choose a delivery time/date before submitting it for processing.

The Flashtxt system also assists you in your promotional activities by maintaining a detailed account of every offer. Each offer is also tagged with a unique ID code which you can use to validate customers, track responses or limit redemption.. in case you have too many people responding!

Service Costs

It costs $0.22c including GST for each Message Credit.

Of course prior to sending the promotional messages you will need to have sufficient Message Credits in your account. When you first register we will credit your account with 100 free Message Credits. If you wish you can then simply top up your account at any time using a Credit Card or PayPal account. For accounting and tax purposes you will be emailed a tax invoice for each top-up. To monitor your usage of the system you can view reports showing promotion details and transaction history at any time.
