About Flashtxt
"Flashtxt" is a Trade Mark and business trading name of Inferex Pty Ltd (Inferex).
We were initially inspired by the notion of "Flash Mobs" which appeared around 2003. According to Wikipedia: "A flash mob is a large group of people, organised via telecommunications, who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform an unusual action for a brief time, then quickly disperse." These assemblies were not commercially motivated of course but the seed for Flashtxt was planted!
In recent times the concept of Location-based Marketing was being discussed as a way to make advertising of products and services more relevant and timely for individuals. Using customer location, identity and preferences ensures that messages sent to a persons mobile phone are not only relevant, but also appreciated.
Our company's experience working with store locators and SMS based services over the last 10 years, has allowed us to create Flashtxt. It has a serious side, but we also wanted to embody a little of the fun and unpredictability of flash mobs.
Whether you are an individual with your mobile phone registered with us, or a business seeking a new way to connect to your customers, we hope it works for you ...
